Paddle Battles Open – Terms, Waiver & Release of Liability
By registering for and participating in any Paddle Battles Open tournament or related event, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Assumption of Risk
Participation in pickleball tournaments and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, permanent disability, or death, as well as damage to personal property. These risks may arise from participation in athletic activity, court conditions, equipment, weather, or actions of other participants. By registering for this event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and attendance.
2. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, and discharge Paddle Battles Open, its owners, organizers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, partners, affiliates, and event venues from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, illness, accident, loss, or damage that may occur in connection with participation in or attendance at the event. This release applies to all claims, including those arising from negligence, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
3. Medical & Physical Fitness
By participating in Paddle Battles Open events, you certify that you are physically capable of participating in athletic competition and that you do not have any medical condition that would make participation unsafe. You understand that Paddle Battles Open is not responsible for providing medical insurance or coverage for any injury sustained during participation.
4. Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings and equipment. Paddle Battles Open shall not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property before, during, or after the event.
5. Media Release
By participating in Paddle Battles Open events, you grant Paddle Battles Open the unrestricted right and permission to photograph, record, or capture your likeness, image, voice, or participation during the event. You agree that Paddle Battles Open may use these materials for promotional, marketing, advertising, social media, and other lawful purposes without compensation or additional consent.
6. Registration, Refunds & Transfers
All registrations are final and non-refundable unless Paddle Battles Open cancels the event or determines otherwise at its sole discretion. Events are subject to minimum registration requirements. Paddle Battles Open reserves the right to cancel or combine events that do not meet minimum participation levels. In the event of cancellation, registered participants will receive a full refund. Participants may change or substitute partners up until the day before the first event of the tournament. The originally registered participant who withdraws from the event will not receive a refund. Processing fees are non-refundable. Paddle Battles Open reserves the right to modify tournament formats, schedules, divisions, or event details if necessary to ensure fair competition and proper tournament operation.
7. Tournament Director Authority
All participants agree to abide by the rules, decisions, and directions of the tournament director and event staff. Paddle Battles Open reserves the right to remove or disqualify any participant for unsportsmanlike conduct, rule violations, or behavior deemed disruptive to the event.
8. Agreement & Acceptance
By completing registration and selecting the acceptance checkbox during checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, Waiver, and Event Policies. You agree that Paddle Battles Open is not responsible for incomplete or incorrect registration information submitted by the participant. You acknowledge that this agreement is binding upon you and your heirs, assigns, and legal representatives.
